Questions
Where are the photos stored and processed?
Photos and finished images are stored in the EU (Ireland). The AI generation step runs at our AI provider and can take place outside the EU, mainly in the US. This is covered by a data processing agreement with EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Our AI provider does not use your photos to train its models. We delete uploaded photos automatically 7 days after upload.
What do we sign?
A data processing agreement. We process your employees' photos only on your instructions, and your company stays responsible for the data. The agreement is signed before the first photo is uploaded and lists every sub-processor.
Do our employees need to agree?
Yes. As the employer, you ask each person for consent before you send us their photo, in writing or electronically. Our template explains the AI step, where data is processed and how to withdraw. We only process photos of people for whom you have confirmed consent. If someone withdraws, tell us and we delete their photos and images from our systems.
Are the images labelled as AI-generated?
Yes. Every image is marked as AI-generated, and we ask you to say so when you publish the images, for example with a short note such as "Portraits created with AI". If you cannot do this, this program is not a fit.
